QE-FQ-01.  How do I change the default rates for estimation ?
Answer:

To specify rates for a particular project:
1. Select 'Rcc Rates' option from 'Modify ARC' menu of "Edit Plan Data". Enter rates for Reinforced Concrete, Mild Steel, Tor Steel and Formwork for RCC Work.

2.Rates for Architectural Quantity Estimation shall be entered while editing Wall Types, Door Window Types and flooring Types.

If the user wishes to change Rates for RCC Architectural items for all projects, changes can be made in StdData.dat file.

 

This file shall be present in Program files -> Esnsoft Build-Master -> Bin folder.

QE-FQ-02. How does the selection of 'Floor Plan Type' affect calculation of quantities ?
Answer:
When floor plan type is selected as 'Stilt', Build-Master calculates excavation for parking area.

When plan type is selected as Plinth, for a given height of plinth from ground Program calculates filling quantities.
When plan type is selected as 'Regular floor', floor level Quantities are calculated by Program.
